چکیده

h.0/ D 0; h.t/ D g t; h.t/ ; t 2 Œ0; 1 (1) in h W Œ0; 1 ! R (Figure 1). A simple sufficient condition that guarantees unique existence of solution h is that g be Lipschitz continuous (along its second argument), which is to say, jg.t;y0/ g.t;y1/j L jy0 y1j; t 2 Œ0; 1; y0;y1 2 R (2) for some constant L independent of y0, y1 and t [16]. We are interested in the computational complexity of the (unique) solution h under this condition.

Existence of positive solution to a class of boundary value problems of fractional differential equations

This paper is devoted to the study of establishing sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of positive solution to a class of non-linear problems of fractional differential equations. The boundary conditions involved Riemann-Liouville fractional order derivative and integral. Further, the non-linear function $f$ contain fractional order derivative which produce extra complexity. Than...

A Heuristic Algorithm for Project Scheduling Problem to Maximizing the Net Present Value

This paper deals with resource unconstrained project scheduling problems with the objective of maximizing the net present value (NPV) of project cash flows. Here we present a heuristic algorithm named as differential procedure (Dif_AOA). In order to evaluate the efficiency of this algorithm, networks with node numbers between 10-1000 and network complexity coefficients between 1.3-6.6 have be...

2-stage explicit total variation diminishing preserving Runge-Kutta methods

In this paper, we investigate the total variation diminishing property for a class of 2-stage explicit Rung-Kutta methods of order two (RK2) when applied to the numerical solution of special nonlinear initial value problems (IVPs) for (ODEs). Schemes preserving the essential physical property of diminishing total variation are of great importance in practice. Such schemes are free of spurious o...

Complexity of Initial Value Problems

How complex could the solution be to an initial value problem given by a polynomial-time computable function? This question can be given a natural and precise sense in computational complexity theory. In this note, we put together several results stating that more conditions on the problem make the solution simpler. In particular, Lipschitz continuity alone may leave the solution polynomial-spa...
